I think the perfect way to end it would be making an otherwise ordinary strip, with the last panel being black with the text "And then they all died" in it. Thatīs a perfect ending for everything, be it a TV-series, book or commercial!

It's a webcomic. It'll end with an otherwise ordinary strip that doesn't resolve anything and is only the end in the sense that nothing get posted after it.

This is kinda morbid, but I'm pretty sure that if I wrote something that so many people were interested in that I would place the ending next to my last will and testimant.

I think that the QC final comic has already been posted. It was a guest comic, but the guest author assured us that it was perfectly canonical.
Sadly, I don't know which cartoon it is.
