The hardest part of getting porygon wasn't not having the funds, it was sitting there rolling through the fucking game corner dude's convo for coins 200 fucking times.

Oh God, I remember back when I was into Pokemon I bought a magazine all about it at some New York subway newsstand, and they had a letter to the editor in there that was all whiny and "oh, my principal is gonna ban pokemon at my school, but I'm afraid to fight it 'cause he'll give me an essay blah blah blah bloo blah bloo"

and the answer they gave this kid was like "Maybe you should teach your principal how to play.  Show him that it's a strategy game and he might not ban it.  If you do get an essay, write it about how great of a game pokemon is and why it shouldn't be banned!"

Even when I was like, ten I could still look at it and go "WHO FUCKING CARES"

You're doing it wrong.

I never understood how pokemon TCG was played.  I mean, can I play my "evolved" pokemon like in the game?  Or do I have to play Charmander, Charmeleon, then Charizard?

You know what was a way cooler TCG then pokemon?

McTaggart:
I'm sure the rulebook could answer your question.

Also, Harry Potter TCG? Really? urgh.

Boro_Bandito:
Yeah, there was. At one point I think I got a free starter deck at the local game place I used to play at back in Lubbock because of some event, but I didn't really like it and so sold those cards off and never played it again.
