I do not think that is an apt metaphor at all. It is not a different kettle of fish, it is simply a much richer kettle of fish. Instead of boiling the kettle, then adding chopped fish, we are boiling the kettle and shooting it through a filter with fish puree under serious pressure. It is still fish soup, just way more potent.
