Don't even joke about that Coldplay record being good (even if it did involve Eno). It's just wrong.
I used to love this band so much. Dayglo ska punk with lyrics about spending your life stuck in a shitty town and getting drunk and fucked up all the time to cover the fact you wasted your life, it rather resonated with me when I was young and it sometimes still does. They really were one of the best bands to do this kind of music, but they've been going for too long now. Even if they made a return to form, what's the point? They never topped Pezcore and I don't see how they ever could, the best they could ever manage would be Pezcore 2.0. Unfortunately the slicker they got the less charm they had.. Ah well, I guess the vinyl will be on No Idea and that'll net them some cash for new releases as well as some back catalogue sales, it'll keep their bassist from making records with his woeful side project, and this thread has reminded me that Where In The Hell Is Mike Sinkovich is a pretty solid song so that's good. Maybe I don't dislike this stuff as much as I thought I did.
