I don't know if you were just kidding around or what, but that right there is actually one of the big explanations for the mystery nobo pointed out. Guys who aren't successful with girls think they are nice guys because that's what girls tell them to soften the blow when rejecting them.

Protip: A lot of guys who think they are "nice guys" are confusing niceness with spinelessness.
It is possible to be nice, to be respectful, to be enlightened gender-wise without being subservient or clingy.
Re: The report tommy posted chills me the most because I think about how unbelievably, awfully common this kind of behaviour is in certain parts of the world.

No, i wasn't joking. I just don't like the misplaces resentment guys have towards girls when they get rejected. the "i'm a nice guy" thing is such a weak thing to fall back on. there is one constant between all your rejections and failed relationships, and that is you.
