They are wroooong otherwise i am out of a job. That being said, a lot of gallery art is lame. Iv'e seen plenty of it. But that's another post. Suffice to say, gallery hopping is fun and more people should do it. Usually there is at least one thing that is cool, usually more. If not, they probably at least have cheese, crackers, wine and such.

I tried gallery hopping when I was in San Francisco. One gallery had all this original Dr. Zeus artwork, it was mad awesome.

Your friends are laaaame. But yeah, what Jon said. And yes, most of them will offer free cheese and sometimes wine/beer. Opening nights are actually fun, even if the art is pretentious bs.
