Yeah but you're seeing the Mountain Goats so who cares about anything else.

Retrospectre:
Just won some tickets to Dappled Cities on the seventeenth of June.

Cool.
They don't suck so much for an Australian band.

I was at Primavera Sound. In Barcelona. Cheap tickets. Awesome lineup. Never sold out. Sleep in a bed. Hang out in a nice city before the music starts. Not have to deal with shit.

Going back next year, doesn't even matter what the lineup is.

How did you think the lineup was, in terms of overlapping? I figured since it's such a short period of time and that many bands, you must miss a bunch..

StaedlerMars:
It was the most painful choices of my life.

I ended up going with the "This band will be expensive to see in the future, or I might not get the chance again" principle. A lot of the less popular bands also played in other places in the city during the day or days before and after the festival. For example, King Khan & the BBQ Show, Smith Westerns, Dum Dum Girls, Real Estate, the Ganglians, played in a park on the other end of town outside of official festival times. I also managed to catch a lot of bands that came through Glasgow's Stag & Dagger festival before heading to Primavera.

But I do think the festival made some weird choices in starting bands at exactly the same time.

The most upsetting choice was Broken Social Scene versus Tortoise, mainly because it was obvious that I was going to go see Broken Social Scene, but seeing Tortoise would have been really awesome as well.
