You people go to shows, right? What future shows are you excited about?
sean:
And after each set they all eat each other!
Okay I'm done.

I'm also mad because Yndi Halda is coming to Denton while I'll be back around Houston, and when they come to Houston it'll be at a 21-up bar.

Yeah, living in New Jersey (i.e. close to New York and Philly) actually does have some perks. I'm actually going to see Yndi Halda and Caspian and a couple other bands do a show at Piano's in New York in the end of August. Should be awesome!!
Shadows Collide:
Opeth coming up in September, then Patti Smith, New Pornographers and a few others.

Well Kayne was at Bonnaroo. I was working the info tent and had a radio so I was listening in on the backstage production channel. They moved his show from one of the tents to the main stage so he would have room to have his whole setup; they made this decision pretty early in the day so no big deal. He wanted his show to be late so that his whole "glow in the dark" theme would look cool. His whole setup was ready to go before 2 am. He didn't get up on stage until close to 4 in the morning! The sun was coming up before he was even an hour into his set. I left after a short while. It was horrible.
Really he was just being a jerk and wanted to be the only one on any of the stages. Phil and Friends were suppoused to be on until about 4 but they were hurried to finish so the production crew could get Kayne to start on the other stage. His big whiney blog post sealed the deal for me. He's just a big ego that won't be getting any of my money. I had a few albums but I've already given them away and don't plan on ever getting another.
The Talib Kweli show on the other hand was dank, and so was M.I.A.
As far as Sigur Ros goes it's tough for me to say. I hadn't heard much so I went in with an open mind. I did enjoy some of the show, a small march around the stage with tuba's and brass had me laughing but overall I couldn't get excited. The singing after 5 or 6 songs really just began to sound all the same. Give them a try I'd say but I'm not going to recommend it that much.
That what you were looking for?
