Not the most inventive band but I really enjoy their particular little blend of pop-rock.

Guys, as the new booking director at WXBC, my college radio station, I'm right in the middle of booking Shearwater to play in a awesome garage/venue here on campus. I'm totally going to get to hang out with them. I'm really excited!
Same with Bishop Allen and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, come to think of it.

I missed a Girl Talk show a month or so ago, and apparently he's really amazing live. I was bummed I couldn't go.
But uh, here's my list for the next couple months:
man man - 8/27
built to spill - 9/6
okkervil river - 9/20
deerhoof - 10/6
gogol bordello - 10/7
Mainly I'm excited about Man Man and Deerhoof. I might go see Atmosphere too, but I might be too broke to afford it by then.
Bonus points for Stars and Iron and Wine also playing here, but on the same nights as other shows. Awesome (but not really).

They only played 21+ venues last time they were here.
I emailed the band and apparently they had no idea.
I will see them eventually...
