A few reactions:

- We have non-profit organizations already... why they aren't selling usable items at low/no profit has always been beyond me... the inner evil in me thinks it's because most non-profits are actually for profits that are built on pyramid schemes

- What the world really needs is a federation of for-profit companies with living wage stipulations in their company constitutions.

Jon Entine would disagree with you about the Body Shop and Ben and Jerry's. There was a much better article I read in a book, but the name escapes me. It's always going to be more profitable to be a regular business than a social one, and that's the entire point of capitalism - making profits. So yeah, I'll take this with a pinch of salt.
