Yeah, the director of that publicly slammed his own movie. I wasn't expecting great things. Apparently it's a pretty mediocre film until the the last third, in which nothing makes any sense anymore.

I read the Onion AV club review; they feel bad for the production designers, who apparently did a very good job in the service of a very dire movie.

Just playin'. But seriously, if it's more than a couple months old and you don't have anything important to say about it, just let it go.
In any case, Dance Flick is not attached to those two buttmunchers, it's mostly the Wayans this time and looks like it actually has gags that can be laughed at instead of cringed at. That won't save it from being terrible, though.
