WTF, WTF?
pwhodges:
UK plates can be quite short; I've been cut up by an arsehole in a Range Rover with the simple plate " FU2"

This is like, the least helpful article ever. All it's going to do is make a bunch of parents really paranoid. It doesn't help that the first five are all related to keeping something secret from parents...
NALOPKT... does that really need to be an acronym? If you polled 500 middle schoolers, how many of them do you think would actually know what this means?
pwhodges:
I've seen NALOPKT used in nerd-land [i.e. forums occupied by nerds and geeks] from time to time. There are places that it's common to use initials, not as a standard acronym, but just to abbreviate a sentence which the writer simply guesses that his readers will be able to work out.
jhocking:
That would piss me off so hard.

Granted it's been a while since I've been in high school or in a chat room, but I find it funny that the only place I've ever seen that "Parents Over Shoulder" or equivalent is in alarmist articles about how the internet is corrupting your children. The only one of those I ever remember seeing in a real chat room is ASL.
