When you're enough of an alarmist to make a list like that, I doubt saving time is a priority.
Similarly, when you're enough of an idiot to make a list like that, I doubt saving bandwidth is a priority.

sufficed for what? They're selling a product here. The product is fear and paranoia. Pretty pictures is going to move more "the-kids-are-not-ok" then plain text.

If the majority of people who saw these plates were either innocent about its meaning or not offended, it seems like such a waste of time and resources chasing down everyone who had "WTF" on their plates. It just upsets the old people when you tell them stuff like this!
