I never got round to remarking that the cat in those pictures (especially the second) is clearly the reincarnation of my family cat when I was your age (i.e. in the 1960s).  She was called Macrina, and I'll show you a picture when I've scanned it.  Meanwhile, the cat that my sister is holding in this picture is Persephone, Macrina's mother:
