Fun Stuff > CHATTER
AusCon-2009 is much more serious business / Rizzo thinks you're ok.
Hat:
Whatever, I will get a good nights sleep from 6pm and you will probably stay up surfing the internet and then I'll have to wake you up with a half-brick in a sock.
normz:
guys you have to show me the crazy dodgy side of sydney, my sheltered existence of travelling there for business means that im used to being stuck in meetings and doing a tiny bit of shopping whilst staying at the hilton..... bring on drunken bocce and some dodgy mecican food bitches
ViolentDove:
Any other Sydney-ites have any suggestions on clubs?
My experience is generally limited to either live music venues, or dubstep/drum and bass/stupid experimental clubs.
fatty:
show me these placesssssss.
ViolentDove:
Well, as far as dubstep/grime stuff goes there is VOID, which is usually pretty good. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, though. There are many drum and bass nights, but no regular nights at the moment, so I'd have to check closer to the date.
There will definitely be some kind of rockin' local bands on at the Hopetoun, Spectrum, and World Bar, and it'll be cheapish... the Annandale also, but that might be more expensive depending on who's playing.
This is a night dedicated to stupid and experimental music which I have occasionally played and DJed at. It's on Wednesday nights, though.
But yeah I'm not really sure about clubs with non-syncopated dance music, though I will totally go to one if someone wants to.
