Scandanavian War Machine:
is Lego Star Wars available for PC? because that is some good co-op fun right there, regardless of your feelings about Star Wars.

I second Lego Star Wars. Girls love co-op.

If you don't mind shooters (and split-screen), the two-player cooperative mode for TimeSplitters 2 is really fun. As long as you don't get stuck playing the same bit over and over again until you make it to the checkpoint.

I recommend the MMORPG Dungeon Runners. It's FREE, irreverent, funny, and not nearly as serious and full of jerks as WoW.
