Eh, I googled images, because I am too lazy to go take pictures. Unfortunately, nothing good came up showing what Detroit really looks like. Pretty much like 80% of the city is abandoned buildings, or run down. The other 20% is like downtown.

Is Rockville as awesome a place as it sounds? I'm imagining it as some kind of small community founded by Bill and Ted.

Sadly, Rockville is not that awesome. I wrote a post about it in the first page of the thread that hopefully can be found here. Its really not that exciting other than its really close to DC. Also, I had no idea there were LARPers in Rockville. Thats actually kind of hilarious.

A couple of my friends are into it, and they go to events down in that area every so often. I'm just guessing, really. Although, Bethesda Softworks is located there, which I think is pretty awesome.
