This is a fallacious argument and I think you know it. It's an appeal to popularity. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it isn't shit. SEE: Slavery, fascism, Nickelback.

Wrong. He said value to them, which it does. He didn't say according to everyone's moral code, just to them.

Diablo 2 was very good at what it did. It definitely didn't tell a story. It's a fun hack and slash. I think that's all it tries to be.

Did we do any of the Transport Tycoons yet? Also, anything by Chris Sawyer - not technically Pre-XP for some of it, but I suspect that things like Rollercoaster Tycoon (1 and 2) and Locomotion would probably work on older machines reasonably happily.
