Let's have a fashion advice thread.

Sort of, I guess? Some of them stop 4 or 5 inches above the ankle, but usually they are more like just-below-knee-length. Most of them have ties and buttons and weird things to make them shorter, too, so you can keep them out of the way when climbing. Usually this makes them look more like breeches or knickers, but when you are rock climbing I guess that doesn't really matter that much. Note: I haven't climbed anything in a few months due to lack of money.
Edit: I am probably going to make one or two more irresponsible purchases before it is all said and done.

I really don't understand why women buy the shoes they do. Those last ones could be kind of cute, but the first two just don't make any sense.

Many women just really enjoy shoes, that's all there is to it, and Katie seems to like her shoes a bit more wild than the average woman.
I am more into more classic styles, like these, these, or these. If I want to go a little more wild, I will usually pick a classic style in a bright color, like these or these.

Oh, golly, why would I ever want ridiculous shoes?
Edit: Liz, a thing I have noticed with the "bootie-style" (what a ridiculous name for it), you know, the half boot or the ankle boot, is that unless one is wearing it under long pants it cuts length off onre's leg, so you look squat and shorter. I am not sure why it is any different visually than an ankle strap or t-strap, but it is. That is why I tend to stay away from them. The closest I personally would get is like this or this or maybe this.
