I refuse to retract my previous statement as I find both pictures to be unflattering, to say the least. But to each their own, I guess. I have never liked empire waste-lines and whenever I see them on someone who is in great shape I think "why on earth would they horribly disfigure themselves like that?" I think the same thing of Prince Alberts, too.

I'm not sure empire waists can be lumped together with Prince Alberts...

No, they can't. I was just saying the amount of revulsion I hold for Prince Albert's is comparable to that I have for empire waste lines.
