Let's have a fashion advice thread.
Professor Snuggles:
I got new boots!
They are used boots, but new to me!
They're rad!
Ballard:
Pics?
Nodaisho:
I have a hair tie around my wrist as well, pretty much perpetually. Just one of those things that comes in handy.
So, this talk about boots and running shoes has made me think. I love my current boots, but they don't fit my legs very well. It could be because they are a size and a half too large (remedied in the foot part by adding more insoles), but sometimes when I walk a ways or run at all in them, I get shinsplints. It isn't consistent, but always happens when I'm wearing these. So, I think I need to get new shoes if I'm going to get more physically active. Does anyone know of any ways to tell if the ones I am looking at will fit me better, besides walking a mile or so, taking them off, putting them on again, rinse and repeat several times?
Ladybug:
I got new suit pants that aren't way too big, a blazer and shirt, a new bag and grown-up shoes (they are even sort of not uncomfortable) and everything! I don't really feel like myself wearing any of it, except the bag, but I'm getting used to it, I guess. Needed the blazer and pants/suit because we need to dress "properly" when visiting companies in Japan, apparently. The blazer kind of makes my boobs look huge, which is weird, but I may just not be used to it. Best part was almost that my parents paid for almost all of this (excluding the shoes, but including the $140 bag, which I thought was way too expensive), which was pretty cool of them. It's odd how willing they suddenly are to pay for a bunch of stuff now that I don't live at home.
Picture of the bag and shoes!
I kind would've preferred a different strap on the bag, but this one was actually surprisingly comfortable, and I love that it's a very "basic" bag, but looks nice. And the shoes look weird here, but they're completely black and not that weird irl, and even have a bit of heel.
ETA: I forgot to post my question. What kind of shirt do you think would look..well, professional, but not like you're trying too hard, under a suit on a girl who is 22, but looks way younger? We're visiting companies, but mostly just for tours and stuff, so yeah. I have a couple of nice-looking "proper" shirts with collars and all that (and I really like them, but I have no idea what the English term to specifiy that kind is), but then there's the option of other kinds of tops, and I'm just not sure.
Skibas_clavicle:
I want to steal all of my new boys' boots. Especially his black cowboy boots.
