Fun Stuff > CHATTER
Let's have a fashion advice thread.
Jace:
It just doesn't feel like it fits me. Like, I don't look right wearing a suit. It fits fine, but it feels wrong.
Its warm, but its not hot. I never leave work cold at least.

What I've learnt from this thread:
1. People believe fashion is about a set of rules that can be universally applied
2. People also believe that it's okay to rip into someone's fashion even though they are clearly not that fashion-forward themselves
3. People seem to also think they know a lot about fashion when they really have no idea what they're talking about
4. As a result, people who aren't as confident think they are fashion-backwards and are too scared to state their opinion for fear of being rejected
pwhodges:
You should distinguish fashion, style and dressing:
Fashion is showing off within a rather conformist framework, and is not always stylish.
Style is finding the clothes that are right for you, both in appearance and comfort; it may or may not be fashionable.
Dressing is just that, not even caring; but some people automatically do it with style.
fatty:
That sounds a bit like more rules.
Sox:
Words can mean whatever I want them to mean!
