--- Quote from: Nodaisho on 30 Mar 2009, 15:06 ---Some boots can actually pass for formal shoes pretty well, as long as nobody looks too close. Mine do, and would do so better if they weren't scuffed up where I crawled around on concrete for a couple days. Or, you can get the formal-ish shoes made by boot companies, which should work as well.

Dude, someone is always looking closely at your shoes.

--- Quote from: Midnight Umbreon ---I knew a rather old guy who bought some low top chucks and spray painted them black. He wore them as dress shoes.
Strike that. He rocked them.

Noooooooooooooooooo. Chucks are sneakers. Sneakers are never dress shoes. Docs? Sure, whatever floats your boat, but wearing sneakers with a suit is pathetic.

David_Dovey:
Whoa hold on there Sam let's think about what we are saying

Jimmy the Squid:

--- Quote from: redglasscurls on 31 Mar 2009, 06:21 ---I have some too, but I think they are ugly as hell. I can't stand how they make my feet look like rubber black holes

--- End quote ---

I have a pair of those, as does my girlfriend. I quite like them as they are comfy as all hell. Also since my pair have been around and about for quite some time they've faded a little so they're kind of a really dark grey-green colour.

--- Quote from: Sam on 31 Mar 2009, 06:39 ---the best people i have seen wearing monochrome black chucks also have children and painted-on eyebrows, and are too young to vote

--- End quote ---

the best person i have seen wearing a bowtie has a radio show where he is slated to interview (among others) a.c. newman, feist and blitzen trapper, and has interviewed shad, lykke li, the acorn and a tonne of other bands, plus he won a national award for his girl talk interview

Johnny C:
take a look in here.. *beckons you in towards odd-looking maroon bowtie* heh. if you look closely you can see the fine- *tugs on the tie and sprays you in the face with a stream of pure ownage*
