I've never been to a formal occasion where people paid attention to my feet.

I don't know why, but every pair of khaki pants I have ever worn makes me look short and stumpy. Jeans are never the same way! I don't get it. This is probably why I don't like them very much. I only wear them when they are part of a work uniform.

Strangely, I have the opposite experience with khakis/jeans. I've always really liked the way I look in khakis, and I have a hard time finding jeans in the right size for me.
I need a good black belt, like the kind I could wear to a job interview/work. What would be cool?

I have honestly never seen anyone wearing khakis and not thought "What a complete toolbag" or "Oh, he must be on break from work".
There's just something inherently awful about them.
