I really, really doubt that copyright would hold up in any court. For the red star, anyway. It's been in widespread public use since the early 1900's.

What. I've known like hundreds of people who only ever wear boots. They're comfortable, they last a long time, they're usually almost totally waterproof... why would I wear anything else?
