I'm sure there is one, but I've been unable to find it (still looking).  It also features a beard of almost nineteenth-century unruliness.

Ok guys, I have fixed the front of my black dress so now it looks smashing (see photo thread for details)

Now here is what I want you tell help me with.  Which dress do I wear to the Mountain Goats next weekend?  The black one looks better on but it also looks fancier, and I don't want to be too overdressed.

Also bear in mind I am going with Brett, so I will look 10 times fancier beside him in his jeans and tshirt combo.

I wondered if anyone here could give me some advice... I'm looking for a warm-ish jacket I can wear on bike rides and while cross-country skiing and walking and stuff. I have a beautiful winter coat, but I shouldn't really wash it, so I don't want to get it gross and sweaty. I have a couple of old zip-up fleeces that are very practical, but also very ugly. anyone have a better suggestion? I need something cute, washable and quick to dry.

In other news, I waaant this.

It's not my style, but it looks warm, and I can always use more warm clothes.

RE: non blue/black jeans

click here if you want to see how ridiculous i looked in 2005.

i still have those jeans by the way and am waiting for the right time to bring them back out again because they are actually pretty slick looking with the right shirt/shoes. i don't still have that hair, however (thank satan).

Yeah, that jacket is pretty damn great. But I'm also pretty sure that you would be able to find cheaper bomber coats that were at least almost as nice, if not almost identical, if money is a problem, Juxtaposition. But also, a wool jacket like that is probably not as washable or quick to dry. I would go for something like http://bergans.no/dynamisk/ftp/produktbilder/bekledning/large/5951_blackazure.png , which isn't really fashionable, but still looks pretty good and is actually made for being active.

haha well thank you, but rest assured that that picture does far too much justice to that hair. it was pretty gnarly and not in a good way.

You don't wear a tie with a peacoat! Especially not a bowtie - that ain't no dinner jacket, laddy.

Anyway, I suppose peacoats are okay, provided you don't mind looking like everybody else on the planet.

i was very, very good all semester long and did not go shopping at all (the bubble dress i posted previously doesn't really count because it was free).

i suddenly made a few impulse buys last week... and they were all plaid.  this was totally not on purpose.

and now i am going to show them off because i would rather take pictures of myself than study.

plaid shoes!

plaid jacket!

plaid skirt that i tried on because i figured "oh anyways it is going to fit me like shit and i won't buy it" but then i thought it fit great and was like "shit now i have to buy it" but now i am not so sure anymore!

The image that Jace posted of Nirvana is from 1989 and thus not representative of the 90s.

You can tell because it is from Jason Everman's brief tenure with the group.
