The bottom of the shoes are not made of canvas. If you recall I live in a pretty dry area, so I don't usually have to worry about puddles and wetness that much.

hey i just remembered this is a thread for posting fashions and a while ago we were all talking about vans and i was all "fuckin' vans, you guys" and then i bought some new shoes! they are not terribly exciting or adventurous but vans make nice shoes and they were on sale and i am happy with them.

i walked through lots of dirty snow today so please excuse my gross jeans.
i am thrilled to once again be part of the shoes-without-holes club as well. yaaah dry feet.

Are shoes really this important? I am sorry to bring this up, but the most I have ever paid for shoes is about £15 and I have made themlast.

To me, as long as they are not clown shoes, keep the water out, and are comfy then they will do. I think this is the "Sam Vimes" method of shoe shopping. That said those vans are rather cool, plus they look as if they are going to be able to survive quite a bit of punishment.

Well, I would ask but, what make of shoe do people find most comfortable? I have had one pair for a good 4 years now and need to get a new set, I was wondering if anyone had any advice?

Because the stockings draw attention to the leg and then the break draws attention to the best part of the leg, the upper thigh.

Also because it makes girls look simultaneously tarty and classy.

thigh high stockings are the best thing invented since stockings themselves. They are hella sexy and comfortable; and garters make stockings a hell of a lot easier, as you don't need to pull up your stockings ever. After wearing stockings for years in school, I will wear no other type.

Believe it or not I actually used to wear that skirt to my internship because it was my only black skirt. Probably a bad call, but no one ever said anything dress-code about it.

Put your eyes back in guys, this is a fashion thread, not an "Mwha?" thread, though thinking about it someone should probably make one of those.

Anyway I was thinking (bad idea I know) that I wear an awful lot of black, its mainly suits and shirts but what do people think about wearing it. Is it a good thing that looks distinguished, or is it just a bad colour combination.

Utterly depends on the attitude and style of the person wearing it, some people look fantastic, others look like angsty teens or like they're too lazy to ever pick other colours.

If the cut and the style of the garments are right, all black can look fine. It's when the person who bought it clearly did not care how it fitted and only bought it because it was the first black shirt they found that they start to look like some shut-in neckbeard.
