I like that. I think I might start putting "the" before all years now. If nothing else, the 2008 will be remembered for this!

EDIT: also, that looks like a King Penguin to me. So technically I think it's been demoted.

Isn't it called an Emperor Penguin? Not king? I mean, nitpicking, yes, but I was fairly certain it was Emperor. Or maybe even Imperial.

for whatever reason I thought these guys were Emperor Penguins

instead I find they have the awesome denomination of Rock Hopper
