I have actually never heard that since i cut my hair. When i was 16, though, with long brown hair and round glasses, well, a certain group of people outright refused to refer to me in any way other than "John". I think that is because the stereotypical image most people have of John Lennon is either that of the early '60s or that of him with very long hair.
Unfortunatly I don't have a picture from that period.

I used to have a picture of me in like 6th grade. I also have some pics from earlier but I can't scan them.
Anyhoo
8th grade around summer or so. So that dates this mid 2006. I'm fourteen here
Early 9th grade. Late 2006. Fourteen still.
Summer of 10th when I visited Spain. Sixteen here.
