We're not even allowed sugar gliders as pets in NSW.  :-(

Quolls are cute and all, but if we ever get to a stage in Australia where we're allowed to keep native animals as pets, I'm going straight for the Striped Possum:

Things that make the Striped Possum cuter than a skunk:

1) It doesn't spray stinky stuff at you;
2) It's only around 25 centimetres long (that's less than a foot for the Americans in the audience).

Oh, and:

3) It's a marsupial (so it gets points for oddness).
