Tarantulas as pets
Oli:
Now Get This! We feed the rats to the cats and the cats to the rats and get the cat skins for nothing!
Alex C:
Depends on the breed. My rat terrier chihuahua mix is a classic feist, despite her runty size (she's all of 11 pounds). She's built like a little greyhound with really long legs and basically she spends all her free time stalking and killing anything unlucky enough to be born smaller than her. By contrast, our old bernese mountain dog basically didn't even move if he could avoid it.
Fenriswolf:
Yeah depends on the cats really. No way a bird wouldn't get eaten in our house, but the cats just aren't as excited by the rat. Our dogs OTOH like to try and get the feral rats along the coast where we walk sometimes so are quite excited. Not impossible to break their concentration though so not too bad.
I never knew there were short-haired St Bernards. Are they uncommon?
RedLion:
Man, I want a husky puppy
WriterofAllWrongs:
That thing is painfully cute. I just want to feed it and take out for a walk and scold it for making number 2 on my new oriental rug, but of course I can't stay mad at it, so I just rub his/her nose in it and take him out for a walk. I'd name it Edmund, regardless of gender.
