EA, despite having a horrible reputation on numerous fronts, actually has some really cool people working for them, who not only have some great ideas, but are empowered to execute them.   I deal with some of the folks in one of their offices pretty regularly, and you'd never know they were part of a insanely lucrative profit-engine gaming borg.
