Madahoochi - best damn rock and roll show in St. Louis, if not the midwest or even the whole damn country.  Hottest female vocalist in the festival / jam scene.

Real Time, Nuclear Man - Part 2 (Jam / Instrumental), Consequence, Under Her Sleeve, Cycle of Creation

It would help if you gave a little bit more info, i.e. what type of genre they play, maybe a youtube/myspace link too.  Also, dear god stop with the double spacing on every post you've ever made.

Let's all ditch this thread and mob up on the mediaf!re thread instead! It's basically the same thing, only better.

Except it requires us to learn and utilize yet another internet music application.  I think.

I still haven't figured out Last.FM fer crissakes.

No...you just download 7zip so you can archive and extract the music.  Then put it up on Mediafire, which is the same thing as sendspace, megaupload, etc., if you've ever used those before.

Last.fm isn't too hard to figure out, either, but it's admittedly more complicated than participating in the mediafire thread.

i like soulseek for downloading. box.net is what i use to upload and send albums. it's pretty great in that they give you 1 gb of space and there doesn't seem to be any kind of time limit as to how long you can host stuff.

last.fm is weird and i haven't figured out how to use it either. admittedly i have the attention span of a ferret so on most days if i can't figure something out in under 8 seconds, i end up dismissing it as not worth my time in the first place. there is some really excellent stuff in the mediafire thread though, you should give it a chance.

I almost feel sorry for him. That said, Jens is right. The mediafire thread functions well as a recommendation thread but, regrettably, it is rather limited when it comes to bands who don't yet have any releases under their belts.

i thought this was going to be a way to unite all those "recommend me new music based on these bands i enjoy" or "i don't listen to music at all but want to start" threads.
oh well.

since it's not, my recommendation to everyone regardless of what they currently like would have to be mission of burma.

Look this guy was a cunt, but this was a reasonable thread idea, and just cause it came from him doesn't mean it was necessary to piss on it like this.

i agree, this is the internet equivalent of people on the street throwing you their bootlegged cds, screaming "LISTEN TO THIS LISTEN TO THIS"

the mediafire thread works better because so many diff people participate in it and you get a lot of variety. plus the music is available for downloading right there

I need you people to recommend some hard acoustic music. Normally, it's electric guitars playing the violent music, and acoustic guitars playing rhythm or pretty melodies. I want to hear someone really rock out on an acoustic guitar.

Find an acoustic version of 'The Red, The White, The Black, The Blue' by Hope of the States.

Find some Erich Roche and some Doyl Dykes.
