I have done many an almost spit take, and my friends enjoy attempting to get me to do a good one. The only true one that comes to mind is after my cousin and I were threatened by a bull in Montana, and we were sitting down (past the cattle guard, phew!) drinking water. He said something really dumb, probably innuendo, and I just spit water all over the path.
