I was going to, he was in town last Friday, but I couldn't get anybody to go with me.

Brocktoon:
Kasabian. Too much pre-recorded loops.

I saw him on a solo tour with the band that would eventually become Grinderman. They were INSANELY loud, and they didn't even have a guitarist. It was amazing, and I wish I had a recording of that version of 'Henry Lee.'

I got to see them a few weeks back. The sound was incredible (thanks, in part, to a huge equipment upgrade/renovation that took place at that theatre last year), but there really wasn't much to look at or experience. I could've gotten the same effect by plugging my computer into my stereo system, turning the volume all the up and, in the process, save myself twenty-five dollars. Plus the bands that were playing with them were easily forgettable.

I don't consider my time wasted, but I guess I was expecting more.

RobbieOC:
I'm disappointed I didn't know Sunset Rubdown was in town last night. Does that count?
