I vaguely remember an album as well, but it's likely that it was a series of radio edits, or remixes. They do that sometimes if a song is popular, because while you can generally charge $20.00 for a single, people won't buy it... normally.

So what about progressive trance?  Deep house?  Electro funk?  "Nu skool breaks" or "speed garage" (whatever the hell those are)?

The point of the "I have no fucking clue what I'm talking about" option was that saying "techno" and meaning any of these things implies, well, not having a clue what you're talking about.  What does "all of it" even mean?  Anything with a 4/4 kickdrum beat?
