Well we are not going during Lolla or any super awesome baseball games (I think) so we should probably be alright? Those are the two main reasons I can think of that would fill the hotels.

Addendum: Chicago is a reasonably big city. I would go touristing around in chicago.
This is kind of a silly argument though, for reasons liz stated.
