Marilyn Manson - I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)
I was never much a fan of Mechanical Animals, but the album is really growing on me lately. Coma White was always awesome, though.

Man, I was blasting Portrait of an American Family this morning. I don't care what anyone says, I think that's a great album. It's just so gloriously brash and trashy. Too bad Manson got full of himself and fired the two dudes who were responsible for all the best parts of that album (i.e., Berkowitz and Gein). If not, maybe the rest of his career wouldn't have devolved into lifeless self-parody so quickly.
Right now, though, I'm listening to Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixx2 and Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3. El-P is a fucking god.

Except Gein kept ODing on various drugs and was too unstable to work with. Berkowitz was good, though, him and Manson just weren't seeing eye to eye on much.
Portrait is an album that takes a lot of listens, imo, to grow on me. So far there's only a handful of tracks I like, but I've found I have to seriously be in the right frame of mind to listen to it. Personally, I like Manson more after he went pop. I don't suffer any illusions about him.

I've managed to avoid listening to dubstep for all this time, and shit, that was actually kind of amazing
currently listening to Slanted and Enchanted: Luxe and Reduxe. the remastered version of Here is so sexy
