What about 16-bit dubstep? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Waqn0jBG58

As the resident pedant here, I should point out that Noisia is actually DnB, or Techstep if you use the term really, really liberally.

Anyway, I'm listening to a non-album compilation cut from Hrvatski. He came around Planet Mu at just the right time, during its halcyon period of both breakcore and electro-acoustic composition. Shame these days he only makes experimental analog synthesis and drone stuff - Keith Fullerton Whitman has a refined pop sensibility when he lets it show.

Theriandros:
Nothing at all because I'm having choice overload after legally downloading about a dozen free albums.

Zingoleb:
play them all at once

I'm back to being stuck on KMFDM. They suck.

De_El:
I was gonna argue you with you, John, and say that the remixing job 16 Bit did turned the track into dubstep, but it really does sound more techstep.

spoon_of_grimbo:
Superchunk - "Here's Where the Strings Come In"

despite suggestions, i ended up going for the one that was cheapest on amazon, but if it's any consolation, i'm pretty much aiming to pick up their entire discography as of now!
