I don't know what Danny Elfman you have been listening to, isn't "Monster Mash" something like a sendup of '50s rock'n'roll? And isn't it more like Danny Elfman to instead use the tubas and trombones as a sort of brass 'bass drum' and use the higher brass as a sort of 'snare drum'? Entirely different styles, if you ask me.

Danny Elfman's music sounds like exactly what you would think a man with the last name "ELF MAN" would sound like.

(I don't mean that in a bad way.)
