I made the following for my gf's roommate in college and it took her less than a week to toss it.

Some of my stuff will be in no less than 2 countries before it reaches its destination, a total of 4 or 5 continents overall.

The thing I sent my person was also purchase off the internet. But it is being sent from me so it is okay. My gift was also effected by crap exchange rates and high shipping costs. :(

Gift is still awesome though.
