My friend showed these to me the other day. They're amusing, these two kids who lead a charmed life of youth, video games, and good weather.

I've only seen the Super Smash Brothers one.  Do they all share the same theme of her generally messing up her brother?

Anthony plays the straight man in all the shorts, yes. As the title implies, the shorts revolve around Ash and are thematically based on the video game she is playing.

I like how they're not afraid to bust out the N64.

I found a spoof of The Dark Knight they did on YouTube and, oh man, it had me laughing out loud.

Honestly, the girl just seems like a bargain basement Sarah Silverman to me and considering how much I'd like to see Silverman get hit by a bus, I can't get into it. The only one I actually enjoyed was the one where she barely actually appeared in it (The text adventure one).

I don't know Jon, the dark knight one is pretty funny. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6meGENbp_7s

the Dad "...Really-?"
Ash "Yeah"

Watched all of them last night.  Even though Ash does seem Sarah Silverman-esque, who I hate with a fiery passion, I can't help but love her odd antics.

Hell, I was laughing so hard I was snorting.

Text Adventures

Clever!

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

I've only seen the TF2 one, and that single one was enough for me.  Like Silverman, it just seems like she's trying to force the funny instead of just letting it happen.

Hmm, I never found the funny forced. Ever see the Left4Dead one? That one is pretty funny.

It kind of plays out like a CAD comic.  There will be a good one occasionally, but then the rest plod on until the joke.  And watching anyone pretend to be Ledger's Joker in the pencil trick scene is just kind of painful.  They could've cut the first half of that bit.

Like, up until that bit I was ready to close the tab.  I mean, that was a 4 minute scene to begin with, so having someone else do it badly for the same amount of time kind of sucks.  I hate to be mean about it, but she's the weakest part of her own show.

I thought her Joker impression was pretty great.

Also, they do the entire Fontaine reveal scene from Bioshock as well. Ash as Fontaine. Playing Wii golf.

Wrong. Ash as Andrew Ryan, Fontaine is the other guy. I thought the entire joker impression was pretty good, and that for an amateur video as it all is it had a pretty high level of quality, a good reenactment of the scene based on the tools they had, and they managed to make it funny, at least in my opinion.

yeah, i thought she did a pretty good job.

i haven't watched enough of the other videos yet to know if she's "forcing it" or whatever but at this point, i'd have to say that she's not.

She is so adorable, and I've found all the videos funny. The cupcake bit in the Dark Knight one made me laugh so much.

it looked like it might have actually hurt too, i didn't see any padding or any other obvious "tricks" so kudos to that guy for taking it like a champ.

I think he's the same guy who spontaneously develops a nosebleed during the screaming bit in the Final Fight video.
