I don't associate with the kind of people that like things ironically.

Nor do I care for people who call certain bands "guilty pleasures".

It's not paradoxical for a band to make two good albums but still, on balance, be "horrible".

I could name a dozen goth/industrial bands that started out great and then became total and utter shit.

Sometimes(often), an artist will simply run out of creativity.
