Short answer: Yes

Long answer: Don't do it unless you have a LOT of time to spend on maintenance.

Alright, I'm bumping this because my cat has just broken the boundaries of stupidity.  I mean, I knew he was dumb, but dang, then he has to go and chase his own damn tail.

He did this for several minutes before I finally got the camera on him.  My favorite part is where he checks behind the bed, in case it escaped.
