I just finished A Wizard of Earthsea, and now I'm thinking about rewriting Paul McCartney's song "Jet" to be about Ged.

I always took it that What happens to Winston is EXACTLY what O'Brien said would happen, what The Party does to dissidents.
He would remain alive, and then when he truly loved Big Brother, they would kill him.
