yeah, so the town i live in was supposed to be named after william ralston, some railroad guy that financed a lot of projects in california, but he was too modest to have his name put on a town. so some spanish speaking guy said he was 'muy modesto' and so now i live in modesto.

My town is boring. Sumter. It was named after Thomas Sumter. And Fort Sumter. How boring.
