The cultural impact of the style on that show really is huge. People have been buying dresses that blair wore in an episode for their prom dress, the "prepster" look is coming back in a big way, etc.
Which is frustrating, because I've been pursuing that look for like 3 years now and this means I have to buy a whole new fucking wardrobe.

Um....when did this go away? This look has never, as far as I can tell, really declined in popularity.

Yeah, it seemed to me that people never really stopped dressing "preppy." I guess this is just sort of accentuating it or making it more noticeable?
