Yeah, listen to Jens and come visit us in Norway. Just remember to bring some fierce oars, it's a long way to paddle. Oh, and I hope your car floats.
Ballard:
I'd have to see how cool my mom is with internet folks but otherwise you're welcome to stay with me in New York. You may have to pretend you used to go to my school and then moved to Austin or something. I live in Queens which is a 35-60 minute subway ride from anything fun but still considered part of metropolitan NYC.
The chances of me making it to Chicagocon are pretty slim so I'd be pretty stoked if you decided to come here.

Apparently I have been ordered to attend Edithcon before Chicago, and so I guess the vague idea is I trip around with you till Fargo, then carry on with Liz to Eed. Or something like that!
They know more than me, but let me know when you work out where you will pick me up, and I will book my flights! EXCITING

I don't know what I would be able to provide in terms of housing, considering I live between Boston and NYC, but I would be down for hangouts locally. Once I know more about when and where I will be, I can give better answers.
