Submacopter
Joey!:
funny joke,sure.
actually a ridiculous idea? not so much.
i propose question
How many times have you been flying when you thought to yourself "Shit, flying is awesome but goddamn it if right now i wouldnt kill to be 20,000 leagues under the sea with those bitching glow in the dark alien fishes from youtube."
and vice versa how many times have you been living the life aquatic when you thought to yourself "How i long for the embrace of my mother sky!"
why limit yourself? you CAN have both!
now sure Raven as a character has at times come across as "ditsy" but im pretty sure shes asian and if ANYONE can build a submacopter, lets face it...its those wiley aznz.
Bob_Mozark:
When Raven takes her idea to the Patent Office, she may find that the patent is held by the estates of three guys named Moe, Larry and Curly Joe. When I saw the submacopter sketch it reminded me of this 1963 Three Stooges movie that I saw as a child:

The major difference was that their friend's invention also had tank treads making it a vehicle that could be sold to the Army, Navy and Air Force. If they could only stop bickering about who needs it the most.
And I realize that Jeph is probably too young to have ever seen this movie, so please don't construe this posting an accusation of plagiarism. Today's comic just reminded me of one of the many Saturday morning matinees that I enjoyed back when such things only cost 25 cents.
Usopp:
The Submacopter. Far inferior to the ROFLcopter. And it most definitely doesn't measure up to the PWNzer Tank.
Paiman:
If I remember correctly, Raven is Welsh, not Asian (where did you even get Asian from). And I doubt those rotors are very hydrodynamic, not to mention that submarines are heavy.
GreyGabe:
Yeah, I think it was Welsh.
As far as the submacopter goes, the weight could be partially offset by making the submarine smaller (maybe a one man scout ship type dealy?). Also, the rotor could retract when you hit water to reduce drag when you dive, or shift so that it's helping drive the submarine.
