Well, I have used nano (and pico, too), but having a GUI type text editor is much nicer.

I use Textwrangler, Eclipse, and Dashcode.
However, for XHTML, I use Dreamweaver most of all. Always in code view, mind. I'm just used to it.

used to use Textpad, but my boss got me hooked on Crimson Editor...
thoughts on those compared to the others? curious if i should be looking elsewhere for my text-editing needs...
("free" is a necessary feature, i might add. i r broke.)

At work we use UltraEdit, and I must say I am a fan.
Sixleaf:
html editor must count lines. That's all that's really important.
